True Confession

scan0021The Bible teaches and proves that nothing is impossible with God. (Mark 10:27). Evolutionists believe anything is possible with enough time and chance.  Flying enough flags for long enough will cause the threads of a flag to unravel and re-weave itself into a three-piece suit.  Given enough time a sunken ship will dissolve and rust down to produce  twenty-four lawn jockeys, three flying saucers, five golden rings, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I dreamed that my grand-daughter came up to my wife; she was about four years old and had curly dark auburn hair long and thick.  Since this does not describe any of my existing grand children we thought, maybe, this is a baby yet to be born.  How precious this child would be.  Then I thought this is how the love of God is for every child; how God adores every child and is pleased and delights in their particular looks, gifts, talents, and attributes.  He sees their life in totality; with a love so deep that it is fully incomprehensible to us.

In Mark chapter three, the demons came out and confessed that Yeshua was the son of God.  He told them to be quiet and those who heard were not to tell anyone.  What is this about demons speaking the truth?  Nothing is good about a demon and no good will come from a demon.  The truth that Jesus is the son of God is prompted and evident by the activation of Jesus’ authority.  The command of Jesus in accord with the Fathers will and authority is witness to Jesus’ Lordship.  This fact alone is nothing, although it is true.

Alternatively, the power of Peter’s confession was a reply to Yeshua; a confession and acknowledgement of submission and Lordship.  Facts alone aren’t saving – it is the light and truth revealed in the personage of Messiah Yeshua that has saving power.  The demons believe and shudder (James 2:19) because their doom is sealed and Yeshua Messiah came to redeem and save men.  Finally, Yeshua didn’t converse with the demon that was tormenting its subject; He didn’t ask it to speak, but rather commanded it to come out and depart.  The demon’s continuing rebellion was to identify Yeshua as the Son of God, apart from the love and compassion of God directed to men who believe and submit to the One True God.
