Many have searched hard and long for the golden apple of financial dominance. An Oligarchy of High Tech internet entities discovered it, at once colluded to share their spoils, and came out of hiding to join with the Democrat party. This was absolutely remarkable, unforeseen and unexplainable, particularly considering the Founders of America who had anointed the “Press” as a protector of the Bill of Rights against any government which may seek to weaken or abolish the all important rights of citizens in our free nation. How could anything but truth interfere with a “press” that was so defiant, uncontrolled and itself a benefactor of the American freedoms such as free speech? They were right for two hundred years until advertising became monopolized in the hands of a few men who had no character, possessed no values, nor recognized any god other than humanism.
However, it was not a particular set of evil men who tipped the scales against journalistic truth. The power of advertising had been nurtured in the written press, but shared as radio and television were developed, but that power had always been purely financial, and yes, money is power, but it could never be controlled because it is fungible, meaning it is mutually interchangeable. No one could “corner the market” on money. In today’s High Tech environment and it’s power to direct or influence people’s behavior through advertising this was accomplished. No business or organization from Mom and Pop shops to Multinational Corporations can operate without advertising from a Facebook page to a multi-billion dollar advertising budget.
The power of advertising upon the public is undisputed. When this is coupled with the power of internet screen time, the perceived need for connectivity and practically every financial decision and transaction made and recorded by those who control advertising it provides an unlimited reach and span of control. With a political/governmental partner the golden apple was in reach and secured by the Oligarchs who promptly monetized their interest beyond anything the founders could have ever dreamed.
Theoretically, “the people” still have the authority to reign in conspirators. However, I offer one illustration of many that explain why it is extremely unlikely – the demise of television which controlled the majority of advertising for decades. Who would have imagined that television itself would become something no one but the very old could actually stomach. Reruns upon reruns, nothing new or actually worth watching. A showcase of “liberal” pablum, and pure state propaganda with outlying high cost TV, pushing indoctrination of LBGTQ/BLM normalcy. Do you think there are no writers with imagination, character, encouragement and/or true stories of grace and love? The destruction of TV is intentional and evidence of the Oligarchs rule. However, take heart, God wins in the end, just make sure your on His side.
