Emboldened Faith

“The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” (Psalms 46:7,11)

This may be very difficult to believe considering our failings, insignificance, circumstances, wandering hopes, selfish desires – weakness. I pray for those who oppose me and treat me badly and forgive them. They aren’t really any worse than me in many cases or what I’m capable of. Yeshua taught us to pray for our enemies and forgive them, which I do when they come to mind. This is God’s way, He comes near us, though we are sometimes opposed to Him and often ignore Him. He wants us to be just like Yeshua, who forgave those who crucified Him. As we follow Yeshua God is with us.

“Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.” (Isaiah 8:10)

“God is with us; he is our leader. His priests with their trumpets will sound the battle cry against you. People of Israel, do not fight against the Lord, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed.” (2 Chronicles 13:12)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)

“All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

(Ephesians 2:3-7)

“When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me.” (Psalms 138:3)
