The Pilgrims were willing to risk uncertainty and dangers of crossing uncharted seas to find a place where they could worship God free of persecution. The Jews were targeted for extermination by Hitler because they were Jewish, even if they were good German citizens and had been German for generations. Their religious convictions costs them their livelihood, freedom, and ultimately their lives in death camps. When Romania became Communists in 1955, practically all major churches and religions accepted Communist edicts even though these conflicted with essential basic tenants of their faith. Pastor Richard Wormbrand and his family refused the Communist demands and suffered torture for seventeen years. He was miraculously saved from death and fatal disease rampant in his prison facility. Countless Chinese Christians and other religious minorities have been tortured and martyred for their faith under Chinese Communism.
Full Religious freedom was practically unheard of until America was founded upon it, clearly protecting it from government jurisdiction and encroachment. This was a Christian idea that protected all religious practice and expression. Christians have been persecuted as much or more than any religion, including Jews who certainly experienced unspeakable atrocities under Hitler and occasionally at the hands of “so called” Christians. Canada has no authority protecting religious freedom against State edicts. Consequently, Canadian pastors who preach biblical principles that conflict with social or political mandates are subject to penalties and fines.
Secular humanists have gained control around the world and are using government against their chosen enemy theistic religion and the vast population who express faith and practice their religious beliefs. America is founded upon personal freedom with limits on government encroachment, therefore, it has become the battleground between Secular humanist perversion, wokeness, political correctness, multiculturalism, all things secular versus Judeo-Christian faith.
The Biden Administration has sided with secular humanism under the guise of Woke/Political Correctness against practicing Christians and Jews. Test cases are lining up for the Supreme Court to restrict religious freedom against government/social mandates. Already the Government has sanctioned homosexuality, Same sex Marriage, Gender confusion and child abuse disguised as gender transition. Abortion remains legal in a majority of States, the icon of humanist revolt against Godliness. The battle is focused against infants and children as they are the most vulnerable. Free speech is integral with freedom of religious expression. The path is not certain, but the destination is clear and as shocking as anything in living memory.
Just today, I read an article about a Christian organization that had its restaurant reservation cancelled because the LBGTQ employees coerced the owner to do so. In the future, will Christians be jailed, fined, penalized for violating the feelings or emotions of LBGTQ+ community already designated the favored protected class, with government perks, protection, benefits, and priority? Will reparation to the woke classes come from funds extorted by government edict? Will Christians will be jailed, re-educated, and eventually killed by a humanist government protecting the rights of its “preferred” and selected citizenry? It seems far off, but the Nazis were able to stoke hatred of Jews in just a few years, while their extermination program was not made public, neither may the persecution of Christians in a society where Government and Media collude to eliminate Religious freedom and censor free Speech.
