“But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. “If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!”(Psalms 81:11-14)
A plurality of people are aghast at our society, particularly as portrayed by media, the foolishness of made up genders, grooming of small children in public schools, drag queens in schools and public parades; no enforcement of laws, blatant government corruption, unrestrained government spending, islamists fomenting antisemitism in the streets and Universities, etc. Many have become dazed and don’t know what to do. Many others who reject Judeo-Christian/American traditions are joining the insanity and accepting secular humanist reasoning. If they had any anchorage in God, they could see the foolishness, but He has given them over to follow their own devices. This is where we are, but Believers should not despair, God will not sweep away the righteous with the wicked, nor has He failed to retain a remnant who have not “bowed the knee to Baal”.(Rom. 11:4-5) He can quickly overthrow the enemies in spiritual places. Yeshua came to destroy the works of the devil, the father of lies.(1 John 3:8; John 8:44)
What are we to do? Stand with faith in God, put no confidence in man. Chose to obey and turn away from anger, temptation, worldliness; forgive, seek forgiveness; pray and seek the face of Yeshua. From God alone comes salvation and He is a sure refuge. Ask Him in mercy to build up weak Believers who are held captive in Satan’s snares. Seek the Holy Spirit’s specific guidance as to how and whom to encourage and serve. Our God is a consuming fire. (Heb. 12:29) In reverence and awe examine your own walk, confess and denounce anything that may be an idol, something you rely upon other than the one true God in heaven. The Spirit will do this examination if you will submit and listen to His voice. (John 16:13; 2 Cor. 2:10-16)
Is this decline of America from God as a wake-up call to His people, to draw us back to Him? He is exposing in the light of truth the extent to which the American people have accepted idolatry, lies, licentiousness, and pride rather than living humbly and seeking Yeshua with all our being to keep in step with the Spirit. God is willing to bring Revival and He will do it. Will you respond to Him?
