The one true God almighty has given at least one incontrovertible proof of Himself to mankind, prophecy, telling what will happen in the future. “Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels. Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” (Isaiah 46:8-10)
Now, that doesn’t mean everyone will believe and accept God for who He is, because those who seek their own rule refuse God’s authority and rebel against what they know to be true – God is Sovereign over Heaven and Earth. The world is striving to make Man the god over earth. We see this in the transgender movement, cosmology, most “scientific” theory, the sociology of Communism and more. Still, Secular humanists seek to foretell the future and assert themselves as god. Their current attempts have been to secretly design a scheme, hint of its inevitability and then proclaim they were right when and if, they are able to make any portion of it happen. This is not prophecy under God’s standards.
One may ask, “What has God foretold that happened?” Many things throughout history recorded in the Bible and verified by archaeology and other historical records. The worldwide flood is one example and its accompanying message of the rainbow. Why do scientists not predict another future worldwide flood, it happened once? Why not again? However, the most common and significant prophecies concern Israel and her Messiah, in which God specifically chose to display His Glory and presence. (Isa. 49:3,7) There are over 300 specific prophecies concerning Yeshua as Israel’s Messiah ranging from His birth, ministry, trial before the Romans, crucifixion, resurrection and return to earth to save Israel from utter destruction. This statistical likelihood of only eight of these specific recorded events happening to one person in order as foretold is – 1017 which is a one followed by seventeen zeros. Perhaps the most recent illustration of fulfilled prophecy is Israel’s return to its homeland and reestablishment as a nation which happened in 1949. (Isaiah 49:8-12; Ezekiel 39:27-28) If you research this you will find that the vote by the UN to grant this was extremely unlikely and inexplainable even at that time, nevertheless, God fulfilled His promise. There are many events prophesied in scripture that are yet to be fulfilled such as the rebuilding of the Jewish temple, the siege of Jerusalem by the armies of the nations and Yeshua’s return to earth. (Matt. 24:15; 2 Thess. 2:4; Rev. 16:14,16; 19:11-16) Two other future prophecies are a one world government with a single currency requiring a physical mark upon one’s body. (Rev. 13:2-4,7,16-17; Daniel 7:23) With the advent of digital currency and potential destruction of the US as a World superpower, these may be fulfilled in the near future.
