Messiah In You

I prayed through the night drifting in and out of sleep. I had started upon revival which brought conviction of my own condition spiritually and temporally. I saw weakness and superficiality in my devotion to God. Why didn’t I have faith and strength to attain a consistent desire and pursuit of God? I could find no simple or  easy answers, but the fault was wholly mine. Later, love appeared as an arrow across the sky of my mind, and with it the answer to everything. I understood God’s love is perfect and capable of anything. My love is not.

More love is available as He pours His love out into our hearts. (Rom. 5:5) Moreover Yeshua surrounds and encloses us with His presence, though we can forget and trust our temporal senses which are flawed and useless as concerns the reality of the Spirit. We are not unbelievers and there is no overt consideration of rejecting Yeshua, but like the Hebrews who subtly mingled with surrounding pagan nations and intermarried they became snared in idolatry.

We must abide in God’s love. His love is not like that of the world. God is love and powerful. Love has transformed every Believer redeeming us from captivity and setting us free. When God’s love triumphs over our will and ways we are changed. God’s will and ways are opened before us as the path of love. We love our enemies, God sees this and fights our battles, lifts Satan’s oppression, and delivers us. All the things we wanted to do, but we’re too weak and couldn’t figure out how to accomplish, God does for us in His love. He wants to give us the Kingdom. (Luke 12:32)

The authority and rule of God is supreme. The powers of men combined around the world are as nothing to Him. He will demonstrate this when every nation surrounds Jerusalem with their armies intent on destruction. At Armageddon Yeshua will defeat these armies with the word of His mouth. (Rev. 19:19-21) However, His concern for us is also at a micro level, “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:7) We shouldn’t think about things as the Lost do in futile striving. (Eph. 4:17) The Spirit filled life is open before, behind, and upon us as we follow the way of love. He has called us to victory as we continually look more and more like our Messiah, Yeshua.
