There are several competing theories of physics as it pertains to understanding the universe, classical theory which is what you might recall from school. It is based on measurements and breaks the fundamental atom particle down with neutrons and protons in a nucleus and orbiting electrons. The atomic age brought about quantum mechanics which suggested that electrons sometimes appear to be waves instead of particles. Consequently, Albert Einstein, developed the concept of a photon, a massless particle, to express characteristics of light. The things we were taught in school are ever changing in the light of current discoveries, theories, and observations which create paradoxes with our current understanding. How can a particle be a wave at the same time. It was quantum mechanics or its justification that suggested science fiction’s multiple worlds of similar but varying details.
Some of the early developers of quantum mechanics used math to test quantum theory in circumstances where classical mechanics applied, such that new theories could build upon known theory, yet still be valid in new discoveries. This brought me back around to the paradox of miracles. A paradox is a statement that seems to go against common sense but may still be true. A miracle is similar in that it is an event that can not be explained by science or natural laws. The notion of Black holes spawned new theories to describe and explain these dark voids in space. They are thought to be caused by the implosion of extremely large stars, with gravitational forces greater than light. This is somewhat supported by tests which demonstrated light can be warped by gravity.
It is interesting to note that these matters of physics involve extremely small particles and extremely large stars, neither of which can be actually observed in real time. Perfection is infinite just as heaven is eternal. Earth is God’s creation which He proclaimed good, but it is not perfect, rather in decline and will eventually wear out. (Isa. 51:6; Heb. 1:10-11) God is perfect, eternal and invisible, but He interacts with us in our physical world supernaturally. This miraculous, loving and prophetic nature are parts of His signature, which He expressed through Yeshua Messiah, His Son – God in human flesh. When the rules of space and time are found to be paradoxical in a situation involving God, physics suggests we accept the phenomenon and change our understanding of the rules which apply. Our natural laws and science are overridden by the authority and supremacy of the Son of God, Yeshua Messiah. ”He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17) Does a more concise and clear explanation of the theory of relativity and gravity exist?
