For Money or Not

What activities do you pursue without regard for money? In American society most everything is monetized which means to earn revenue from or convert to money. Some in the church are arrogant in their own righteousness and look down on everyone else. There is money to be had from peddling the word of God as a formula to gain healing, peace of mind and/or comfort in a turbulent world. “Look what we can do with money and how we can generate it ourselves with our messaging and sales techniques”, some might think as they apply worldly means to “ministry”. An excessive emphasis on raising funds brings reproach on the church. 

Yeshua is the one the world hates. Who will stand with Him to accept and participate in the world’s hatred, persecution and have their teaching disregarded because of His name? Know this, Yeshua is all powerful, that’s why he says, “Whatever you ask in my Name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16) His command is to love each other. 

With one word Yeshua can change everything. He can set right what is wrong; He can unravel the snares and chains that are confusing and hindering abundant life; He can break cycles of delusion and bad habits; He can set free the captives; He can bring light dispelling the darkness and restore sight to the blind. To these He choose out of the world, He has appointed them to bear fruit that will endure; they will testify of Him through the power of the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth.

There is no middle ground. Money cannot be the source and enabler in Yeshua’s presence. He is light and in Him there is no darkness. No shadows exist in the light of God, His brilliance pierces and permeates everything and everyone such that nothing is hidden, but all laid bare before Him. God demands that His servants do things His way and by His means. If you question what that means, simply consider Yeshua who owned nothing, had no money, and relied fully upon God’s direction as to what to say to whom and when. There are many gifted ministers and evangelists who by Holy Spirit leading are reaching those seeking God. They are compelled by the grace, goodness, and love of God, rather than money, human reasoning, or men’s plans. God’s servants are humble and give all glory to God to whom it belongs. With a handful of such servants God can bring revival and reach nations with the good news of Yeshua.
