Supreme Court Cowardice

The Supreme Court has as a primary function the preservation and enforcement of the Constitution and its embedded Bill of Rights. Our founders saw protection of individual rights as the essential guardian against tyranny. Moreover they recognized that Government usually was the source of tyranny and therefore, common sense demanded that it could not be expected to be our guardian of personal rights. Patrick Henry said, “The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.” Sadly, the most egregious example of government trampling our rights of free speech and other guaranteed freedoms was sidestepped in the recent SCOTUS decision in Murthy v. Missouri.  

This was an appeal of District Court and Appeals Court’s rulings holding that the Biden Administration and Surgeon General’s Office coerced Media platforms through embedded FBI agents and direct communications from highly place Government officials to censor public speech. Rather than sustain the clear and well supported lower courts this SCOTUS asserted than the plaintiffs (including 5 States) had no standing to sue. The Opinion complains there was missing evidence and support on critical facts and essentially threw the case out. Each “missing” piece of evidence and fact is referenced and documented in the Dissenting Opinion which is all anyone need read. The District Court included 26,000 pages of evidence. The issue under which the Tyrannical government used to trample your free speech was Covid -19. It was Biden’s chance for a power grab like no other, he would force every citizen to get one or more shots of experimental drugs said to be a vaccine, that did not prevent getting Covid, did not provide immunity to Covid’s symptoms, nor prevented spreading Covid to others. Biden threatened everyone who refused to take the shot would lose their job by Bureaucratic order to employers. He began censoring public speech through the online platforms. They also censored any suggestions regarding the origin of Covid which was thought to be from a lab, later appearing to be true. These facts were not enough evidence of Government tyranny for this SCOTUS to rule against Biden. The Dissenting Opinion explains every detail the liberal majority refused to recognize.

Patrick Henry was right and He put his trust in God, rather than Government. God has not abandoned His people, those who look to Him with awe, honor and respect. “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) God is faithful when all others abandon us.
