Established Boundaries

“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.” Acts 17:26

Millions of illegal aliens flood into our country each year with the Biden administration willfully doing little to enforce the laws of the land to stem the tide. This includes many illegals that commit crimes. The only state that has consistently tracked its illegal immigrant crime data is Texas. Between June 1, 2011 and August 31, 2024, 312,000 criminal illegal aliens have been booked into local Texas jails alone and charged with 542,000 criminal offenses, including homicide. Although some present studies, presented by progressives, indicate that the rate of crimes committed by the illegal aliens were no greater or less on average than citizens this misses the point entirely that none of these 542,000 crimes should have been committed at all as these illegals should not have been in our country.

Even though God has made every person in every nation of men from one blood (Adam’s) and equal before Him, he has determined the countries where each person is born. There is nothing wrong for an alien to immigrate to the United States through a legal process that allows for screening but an alien that comes into the country illegally is acting wickedly and violating the required submission to governments and laws required of passages like Romans 13. God sovereignly has persons born in the places he desires, some in better counties than others, but this does not give a person in a lesser country the right to violate another country’s laws to improve their situation. We see the same principle in I Corinthians 7:21 where even someone born into slavery is to not try to get freed by rebellion or lawbreaking but rather be content with their lot until they can be freed legally. In the meantime, they are to consider themselves God’s freedman while a slave. Even someone in slavery or in a poor country can be content if their relationship with God is sound (Phil 4:12-13) and this relationship is what God cares about primarily.

So much sorrow and pain has been inflicted on Americans through the hundreds of thousands of criminals that have been allowed to enter our country illegally. We must pray that God will turn the heart of our leaders and cause them to play their assigned role as “God’s ministers, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil” (Romans 13:4).
