Delightful Necessity

“…but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest the adversary misunderstand and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed; the Lord has not done all this.’ ” (Deuteronomy 32:27)

When Believers fellowship in the Holy Spirit and connect together in Yeshua’s presence He brings His goodness, like encouragement, insight, wisdom and everything that gives life. We realize afresh that He is everything and all we need and earnestly desire. “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” (Psalms 37:4-6)

God seeks worshippers who worship in Spirit and truth. He is calling these to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalms 100:5) God is not holding back any good thing; He is better than the best parent that adores, cares for and secures their children in everlasting arms of love. We have been brought near by Yeshua. “…the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” (Psalms 147:11) l

God is bigger than we can comprehend, but our limits and neediness are meant to draw us to Him. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.” (Psalms 32:8-9) “The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.” (Psalms 37:40) We run to God as a strong fortified tower and are safe. Our disappointment is not from God, but our lack of Him, His ways truth and life.

The enemy seeks to kill, steal and destroy with lies, snares tempting with fake lures. Long ago we would have been overwhelmed and consumed, but for Yeshua’s shepherding and Holy Spirit leading. We are not capable of any good thing apart from Him. We must remain in Him as branches remain in the vine. “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” (John 15:7-9)
