The past is replete with bad thoughts, memories of failures, unjust acts, attacks, lies, betrayal, false accusation, and both physical and emotional pain. These memories we bury in forgetfulness, if possible, because we can not resolve them in our conscience and rational mind and they are too unpleasant to carry about or even recall. When, and if, we are honest, we see that we are both victims and perpetrators in these acts of evil. Our mind is constructed with a conscience that divides between good and bad, right and wrong. This conscience can be seared, damaged and denied, but it instinctively affirms that murder, lying, theft, and betrayal are bad and wrong, whether committed by or to us.
Secular humanist are excusing and denying absolute truths. The most blatant example is Vladimir Putin who attacked Ukraine with unprovoked war killing unarmed citizens and children. In a Tucker Carlson interview Putin justified his actions as reasonable. On a much smaller scale we do the same in order to cope with the evil and failure within ourselves. Modernist suggest we should discard our conscience and historic values of right and wrong contained in law, the Ten Commandments, the Bible, or upbringing, and choose our own values instead. This has lead to “wokeness” where there are a range of genders, rather than Male and Female. Nevertheless, people of conscience know what is evil and what is right.
Returning to our bad memories, the evidence of human depravity on its smallest scale, is there a solution, a coping mechanism, a resolution to this internal conflict, other than denial and a continuous lie? Yes, there is hope for the human race and it is not from within ourselves, its source is apart and beyond our physical universe. There is a Spiritual realm which encompasses and exceeds this temporal realm of space and time. It is best defined and illustrated by it’s characteristics of Love, Faith and Hope. (1 Cor. 13:13) God created the universe by His command. (Heb. 11:3) He is Spirit and Love. (John 4:24; 1 John 4:8) He sent His one and only Son from Heaven to earth to pay the price for our evil rebellion – a death sentence. Yeshua is the one and only Messiah, first for Israelis and then for Gentile Believers. (John 3:16-21) Yeshua provided forgiveness of our sins. Moreover, His forgiveness enables us to forgive those who have sinned against us. (Matt. 6:14) Proof of this is written in scripture, supernaturally preserved through ages and confirmed in the human heart. God has fixed in the Spirit what mankind ruined in the natural. Acceptance of this divine gift in all its splendor and majesty is effected by the most simple, pure, and sincere acts – believing.
