“But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.” (2 Corinthians 2:14)
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence on earth dwelling in every Believer. “…I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.” (Isaiah 48:17-18) In Yeshua Messiah all the promises and blessings of God are fulfilled and we have relationship with Yeshua and the Father. (John 16:26-27) “The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” (Deuteronomy 28:4-6)
We keep Bees. They are wild untamable, unpredictable and shrouded in mystery, but they produce honey, wax and pollinate untold quantities of crops. I had faith in the above scriptures and others that God would bless our livestock which are our bees and chickens, not because we are experts or deserve it – just because He is loving. Our most recent hive inspections were sad, as it appeared that several of our larger prospering colonies were now queen-less. This is my experience in beekeeping, a lot can go wrong and does, particularly, getting them to survive through winter. Even top professionals lose 25-50% of their colonies every year, so it can be discouraging.
We were attempting to do all we could and knew to do, in order to mitigate the situation. As we gathered our equipment I walked by my truck and happened to look in the bed and there was what appeared to be a queen bee crawling upon a bee box cover. I called to my fellow beekeeper wife, “Come look at this, I believe there is a queen bee in the truck bed.” She came and was as astounded as I, saying, “Get something to catch her in.” We caught her and were simply amazed. My only explanation was God had given us a queen bee! This is unexplainable. Most beekeepers, including us, have great difficulty finding a queen bee in their hives and finding one by itself is in our truck bed seems to be a small miracle, particularly considering our need and prayers.
