“When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.., Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.” (Psalms 32:3, 9)
There is a time to raise a loud praise to Lord Yeshua. It has nothing to do with reveling in our own emotion. It is not as though we need to shout to be heard by Him. We are simply coming into alignment with the multitudes of Heaven that sing His praise and glory. The Lord is worthy of our celebration of His mercy, grace and glory. There is a time for unrestrained proclamation. King David celebrated before the Lord as the Ark of the Covenant was returned to Israel. “Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets. As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart…When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!” David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.” (2 Samuel 6:14-16, 20-22)
Beware of condemning or judging another’s worship and praise even if it may offend your sensibilities. God receives our praises and He alone can judge the intents of our heart. “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King.” (Psalms 98:4-6)
