Rights Protected

There is a lot of misconception. In social media and fake news about our rights in the constitution. Often when the polarized elements of society argue and try to rebut an opposition argument they will assert the right of “Free Speech”. This can also relate to defamatory or violent comments made in arguments. An instructive illustration is Tucker Carlson’s interview of a Holocaust denying/Jew Hater pretending to be a MAGA Trump supporter. Kevin Roberts, of the Heritage Foundation, defended Carlson’s interview as protected speech. The AG candidate in Virginia made grossly violent statements against his opposition. These statements may be protected against censorship by the Government, but not by individuals in the public forum. Many decades ago racial slurs were commonly used against Blacks, Jews and others. The public began to enforce censuring such speech, rather than the Government. Eventually, the public’s objections silenced such derogatory language. For example, the “N” word became taboo, except among certain Black racists. 

Kevin Roberts may have thought he would preserve his friend, Tucker Carlson, by appearing to be constitutionally wise regarding free speech, but He was ignorant of scripture which says, “Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.”(Titus 3:10) Carlson long ago established himself as a divisive person when he was with Fox and continuing today. 

The Democrat’s are fomenting violence through speech and actions with funded riotous “protest” and incendiary violent language. The new Mayor of NYC peppers his speech with violent defamatory tones against Jews, President Trump, and traditional American values. He uses the term “Islamophobia” as a weapon though no one has attacked his religion. Even so, Islamic factions/nations have for decades threatened, made terrorist attacks and promoted the destruction of America. I’m not suggesting that the Government censure Democrat’s, but the public has every right and duty to bring unfavorable consequences for such defamatory and derogatory language by having nothing to do with those who use it. 

The biased Democrat controlled media is responsible for much of the wicked tone used in public discourse today. To the extent that established law prohibits libel, slander and public deception through known lies, the Courts, Employers and Public should demand an accounting and just consequence for such behavior. The greatest threat to America is from within. NYC’s election of a marxists Mayor should be a wake up call to all citizens who care about and wish to preserve America as the world’s home of Freedom, Liberty and Justice for all. These rights are protected by the People, sometimes in contrast to wrongful government actions. If we as a people put or hope in government, as a majority of NYC voters did, tyranny and misery is the inevitable consequence, but under God we will overcome.
