Accomplice to Felony

The law penalizes an accomplice to a crime. Being an accomplice to murder is almost as severe as committing the murder. In a case where several people cooperate to commit a murder each can be found guilt though only one “pulled the trigger.” Of course merely having an acquaintance or association with a killer does not make one guilty of another person’s actions. In politics, such associations have been detrimental or fatal to ones political aspirations, where the relationship is close and intentional. Recently, we have seen these norms ignored or applied inconsistently. For example, Barack Obama had close ties to convicted terrorists and outspoken anti-American fringe leaders, nevertheless, he was able to continue in politics after being forced to disavow his longtime associates. Politics are not politics as usual, as blatantly socialist, even communistic, proposals are offered by today’s candidates for political office.

Unlike politics, the law can not be set aside or ignored without severe ramifications to our constitutional republic. If high level officials in the recent Obama administration committed serious felonies as has been asserted and upon which criminal grand jury investigations are proceeding, then due process may bring the matter to court. If evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that these officials committed crimes they must be tried by a jury of their peers. With this background, and assuming there is a conviction of one or more perpetrators, is it possible that CNN and/or other media entities could be found to be conspirators or accomplices to these crimes? It is extremely difficult to convict a corporation of a crime, but they can be held to account in civil court. Moreover, licenses can be revoked for just cause, which surely would include criminal behavior. Corporate executives can be subjected to prosecution for their role in corporate crime.

In the ongoing investigations, evidence established that the FBI released fraudulent documents for publication, intentionally in an effort to generate the media’s report as a source of validation. If CNN or other news entities knew of either the fraud within the document itself or the fraudulent purpose for which the FBI released the documents, then it would be an accomplice to fraud. Considering the “hand in glove” relationship between the Democrat part and the socialist media entities, it appears that some consideration should be given to this collusion in criminality if there is a conviction.

Tyranny Today

What constitutes government tyranny to you? Arbitrary and/or unrestrained power is the hallmark of tyranny, but if the governed neither object nor recognize the abuse, it can be accepted. All around the world this is true. On several occasions Chinese groups have protested against communist tyranny and for liberty and one leader was crushed under a tank, the others disappeared in reeducation camps.  Today, States are telling citizens they cannot get closer than six feet at the beach or park. How is that arbitrary? Because it includes members of your own family who you touch each day and are clearly disease free. How is it unrestrained –  because it contradicts the free association clause in the Constitution and if they can demand this extent of control over us, they control anything, including attending a church service.

If you are excusing this tyranny as a reasonable response to an overestimated disease, then what remedy will be effective at the next overestimated crisis? Some in Congress are proposing a climate crisis that will destroy the world in a few decades, unless we let them have power to force us to stop driving or flying places, and more. Many have compared Covid-19 with the normal flu and there is great similarity, but there is no dispute that this crisis was/is overstated. Moreover, the proposed solution was to “flatten the curve”, which is an admission that the same number of people would still die, but they would die over a longer period, giving the hospitals time to prepare. The hospitals and available respirators were never close to a deficiency, even in hardest hit New York – It was all overestimated. However, the government overreach was not restrained and arbitrary in most respects. What is your freedom worth, beside the thousands upon thousands of military lives given up for it. Two idioms apply to this situation we face, “a day late and a dollar short” and “the ship has sailed.” This unprecedented action by our current government has prepared the way for a future fascist or socialist government to exercise a tyranny that you may not happily welcome. The Bible says a time is coming when no one can buy or sell unless they have a special mark upon their right hand or forehead. (Revelation 15: 13-18). How does that sound for tyranny?

Woodrow Wilson

The twenty-eighth President was the son of a Presbyterian Minister and was a Calvinist himself. He had a deep faith in God and His direction of the Elect, God’s children. His Christian world view of love, charity, and  justice impacted his life and Presidency. He was a Southern child during the end of the Civil War and experienced it’s devastation, but as a Christian he believed he had a destiny. He overcame dyslexia after struggling for years as a poor student, and was able to become an eloquent speaker and persuasive debater through the consistent help of his loving father. He learned to write short-hand which opened his academic horizons. He wanted to go into politics, but became a very successful professor and at age forty-six became the president of Princeton University.

During the recession of 1894 he spoke out against the ultra wealthy corporate power elites who had combined to oppress and harshly use the working man. Not long afterwards, Wilson suffered blindness in one eye from hypertension and was told by his doctors that he must live a retired life. This was the death of his vision of greater influence, but with rest and the help of his loving wife and family he recovered fully.

At just the right time a powerful Democrat party boss found Wilson and offered to support his campaign for the Governor of New Jersey. He won and set out to implement what was first labeled a “progressive” agenda which included, antitrust laws, workers compensation, etc. He later became a candidate for President with the Democrat party against Taft the Republican incumbent. But Teddy Roosevelt and Socialist Eugene Debs were also running. Wilson was against the big corporations monopolistic influence over the mass of individual Americans, whom he believed were those who should be directing their own democratic government. He won with 43% of the popular vote, certainly not a landslide, but he had championed the concerns of the middle class. He was the first president in 113 years to address the public directly. When the chairman of the Democrat party came requesting a high government position given that the Democrat party had made him President he replied, “It was God who made me president, not the Democrat party.” He helped establish the individual income tax, labor laws to improve working conditions and other reforms for the working man. He supported segregation which was the law at that time and joined with a group of Southern congressman who supported it. His “progressive” influence was necessary as the working man was at the mercy of an oligopoly of selfish industry barons who exerted far more influence than necessary in a democratic republic.

When the democratic government of Mexico was over thrown by socialist rebels he sent troops into Mexico to restore democracy. Yet, in 1914 when Europe took sides setting the stage for war, Wilson asserted that America had no interests in European matters. Though he had little experience in foreign affairs, he set a long standing policy of limiting foreign involvement to specific American interest. When America was finally drawn into the war, he supported laws that suspended free speech, which is unconstitutional and therefore shameful for any President. He tried to organize the League of Nations, which was his greatest dream, but became his greatest failure as it was never ratified by the Senate. Wilson’s good intentions to eliminate war on earth would have been better served if he had read his Bible closer and understood that man can not be his own global collective security organization given that the position is already held by God Almighty. (Gen. 49: 10; 2 Chron. 20: 6; Job 12: 23; Ps. 2: 1-8).

Woodrow Wilson is a darling of progressive liberalism and those times and circumstances did warranted action to break up the strangle hold corporate industry elites exerted upon individuals. Progressive liberalism has not been required since Wilson left office, and it has progressed into socialism today. Nevertheless, the framework of Wilson’s antitrust laws need to be effected today against the oligopoly of enormous multinational media/internet corporations that wield far too much bias, fraudulent and anti-American influence against the individuals for whom and by whom our constitutional republic was instituted.
