Political Pollution

Political pollution is spreading all around our society, no longer contained in election cycles. It has seeped into sports and now the weather reports are getting littered with political crud. What can we do about this uncontained refuse that spoils all it touches. It is like an oily substance covering areas and choking out life. Only strong detoxification can remove it, but the wildlife does not readily submit to the cleansing process. Resisting the Ordinance of God

“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government.  Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.  Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. We are called to be subject/submissive to the authorities that have been placed above us, such as government authorities and workplace bosses, whether they are just or not.  Further, we are not to rebel in our hearts against the authorities

Subjects of the Higher Powers

Romans 13: 1-2 states “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers (governments/rulers).  For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”  It is interesting that Paul wrote this passage while the wicked Nero was Emperor who was persecuting the Christians. This passage reminds us that all authorities and powers…
