This is a metaphor for something made up of smaller pieces. My grandson is just now with his family at Lego world as he enjoys building with Legos, small pieces that fit together to form different objects. Scientists refer to each successive discovery as another piece of our collective wall of scientific knowledge. I wonder why there are not enough bricks in the scientific wall to establish many things we know, but cannot prove or demonstrate with scientific satisfaction? This is particularly annoying given the vast body of conclusions accepted by scientists that are only supported by theory. For example, scientists have accepted the theory of evolution as truth though there is not one fragment of a brick discovered beyond the “primordial soup” of created amino acids, which are not alive. Moreover, a static universe upon which evolution theory was based was blown apart by the “Big Bang” which accounted for Einstein’s cosmic fudge factor. The latest scientific concoction to be proclaimed true with hardly any available bricks is “Global Warming/Climate Change.” When scientists have to take a vote to establish climate change is it science at all? The more difficult related issue is whether mankind can alter our global climate? Instead, scientists (and their collaborating politicians) have assumed its true, then assumed no longer burning carbon fuel will cool down the earth – these are not facts.
Others have recently applied non-scientific methods of proof to a different brick structure, the Temple of God. “Evidence that demands a verdict” by Josh McDowell is a compelling argument for the veracity of Biblical eyewitness. Lee Strobel’s books “The Case for Christ” and “God is not Dead” are two excellent arguments for faith in the Living God. High Ross is an Astrophysicist who bridges the gap between science and faith at Reasons.org. These things point directly to God, Creation, the Bible and the Congregation of Believers on earth.
A Temple exists on earth within which God dwells, it is “…built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2:20-22) “…the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people.
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
(Colossians 1:26-27) Yeshua says to each person, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”(Revelation 3:20) Will you open and eat with Yeshua and live?
