“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” Ec 3:11
“Consider the work of God: who can make straight what he has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.” Ec 7:13-14
“As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a women with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.” Ec 11:5
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!” Romans 11:33
Since the slaughter of the Jewish people by the demonic Hamas/Palestine people from Gaza I have seen questions on social media from skeptics such as “since God controls all things He must have approved of the babies and other innocent people being killed”. While it was true that God could have prevented the slaughter, He did not choose to in His sovereignty. One of His purposes is to allow the wicked in heart to reveal their wickedness to build up His wrath against them to show the justice of His final punishment on those who do not repent (Romans 1:18). Still, it is hard to understand why such terrible atrocities are permitted. I do believe God gives a special grace for the martyred to go through their ordeals as evidenced by the many brave and peaceful demeanors of many past Christian martyrs.
Many verses in the Bible speak to the fact that God does not reveal his plans to humanity. Although He puts eternity into our hearts so that we will be encouraged to seek eternal things, primarily God Himself, he does not explain how He works out His plan. As Christians, we accept by faith that He is working justly to fulfill a plan that will see us ultimately to Paradise and the wicked to everlasting judgment. In the interim, God has made everything beautiful, better translated appropriate, in its time. There was an appropriate reason, within God’s plans, that He allowed the demonics to murder so many innocents and it will be revealed in time. God made both adversity and prosperity and gave both when and to what extent He pleased and we have no ability to figure out an inscrutable God’s ways.
Gods ways, beginning at birth, are unsearchable – beyond figuring out. He has purposefully obscured our full understanding of His ways in this life. We can trust Him in faith that all will come right in the end. His wisdom and knowledge and plans are too deep and rich for us to possibly understand.
