Prophecy Fulfilled

“We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” (2 Peter 1:19)

In the last days prophecy will continue to be fulfilled, just as when the prophecies of Yeshua were fulfilled. Astute observers during Yeshua’s time could have connected prophecy with its fulfillment. When Yeshua rode a donkey into Jerusalem it was fulfilled. (Zech. 9:9, John 12:15). When the Jewish leaders went to John inquiring about Yeshua and when they admitted, “We don’t know where this man is from.” Though they thought He was from Nazareth. It was fulfilled.(John 9:29; John 7:27; Micah 5:2). When He threw the money changers out of the temple in a fervent rage it was fulfilled. (Psalm 69:9; John 2:17). When He was stabbed with a Roman spear it was fulfilled. (Isa. 53:5; John 19:34). There are many others, some requiring investigation from witnesses, others from public display. God foretells future events to encourage his children and condemn the wicked.

The regathering and reformation of the nation of Israel is a prime example of end time prophecy fulfilled. (Isa. 49:22; Ezek. 39:27-29 ) What other prophecy can we look to be fulfilled in the future? Will these fulfillments gather speed between intervals as we see with prophecy about the Messiah Yeshua? Yeshua said,

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.” (Matthew 24:32-33) So, it is reasonable for us to look to His return, even though we will not know the day or hour.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14) A world-wide revival is coming or in process. “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.” (Matthew 24:24-25) This is yet to happen, but will. “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven…There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.” (Luke 21:11, 25) We have seen some of this with Tsunami, famines and Covid, but signs in the sky are coming.

Yeshua is returning, fulfilled prophecy confirms it and more is coming.
