God Answered

The one true God answered my prayer. He has revealed His goodness and loving kindness a thousand ways, ten thousand times. I know it has been limited by my dull senses and excess regard to self, but He reaches down through Holy Spirit affirming His presence Spirit to Spirit. (1 Cor. 2:11) The first century followers of Yeshua and patriarchs speak of their experiences and their testimony is familiar though our circumstances are differentiated by millenniums. If  a friend greeted you in the twilight, their voice would be reassuring. The words would be personal and touch unmistakable. This friend surpasses all senses and relationships, bearing supernatural characteristics and nature. The twilight of this world is expelled by transcendent light and love. Yet, this reality is nothing which can be adequately compared in physical terms. God has inhabited His people, His temple on earth. How can God be contained? He enters into His temple by His Spirit in every Believer on earth. Every Believer has been born again into a Spiritual life, no longer are we merely flesh and blood, be we have an eternal spirit in our innermost being.

This is both the evidence and guarantee of our salvation. (2 Cor. 5:5) Yes, the living Word of God, Yeshua, is being deposited in our hearts as well, as a light to our path, but it is activated by the Spirit rather than mere reasoning. We are lost without God’s leading even for a moment. (John 6:63) However, He will never leave and freely gives us every good thing for life and godliness. The Love of God is our sustenance, it is the only thing that satisfies and provides a life worth living, leading to life eternal.

Therefore, when we encounter questions disputes or teaching about theology, doctrine or patterns for living they are distractions if not addressed in the context of relationship with the Living Triune God. While God understands us completely, we must look to His word and Spirit to grasp His will in our space and time. We are accustom to our preferences and habits, so we put these aside and listen without preconceived notions. The substance of His voice to us is full of love, life-giving, truthful and wise beyond our imagination. Yet, it is just our size, that which we can do, say or pray. Then, with total submission we join Him in His Kingdom, “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
