Accusations

11327095_1680424062187557_88332089_nHave you ever heard accusations in your mind?  Are they immediately after some interaction with someone or as a consequence of your own thoughts or actions?  Are they out of the blue almost random accusations pointing out your weakness, things you have already confessed from the distant past, or things that you could never make right or even address in a reasonable manner.  If you are a believer, the enemy is set on destroying, stealing or killing your faith.  Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  John 10:10.

The enemy is…also an accuser.  Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom  of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.  They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!  But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you!  He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”  Rev. 12:10-12.

Notice the good news that the enemy has been hurled down and his accusations have been triumphed over by Jesus’ blood and the word of the saints testimony.  Jesus’ saw this victory: The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”  He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.  However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”  At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.  Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.”  Luke 10: 17-21.

Conviction of wrongdoing by the Holy Spirit will be restorative and without regret with direction for healing, forgiveness, confession, and leading to freedom and peace.  But when you are accused by the enemy, resist him and he will flee from you, recall the effectiveness of the blood of the Lamb that cleanses from all sin.  Do not accept his burden of accusation. God disciplines His children for their good and the indwelling Holy Spirit corrects us in love.  It is the enemy who accuses.  No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD.  Isaiah 54:17.
