Real leaders have insight, they stand up for the right and they can discern right from wrong. They are passionate and maintain self-control, which means they show emotion, but they are not controlled by it. They demonstrate humility and wisdom, without guile, real leaders need no politics. They have convictions and a foundation of faith in God. In the early years of this nation, an atheist could not hold public office. This was not simply the enforcement of Christianity upon everyone. This nation was founded on Judeo/Christian principles, denying their truth and wisdom would be inconsistent for an American leader. Moreover, what is the moral and social compass of a devout atheist. A leader must make laws that promote morality and social health. They know manipulation is a faulty crutch and above all they know when and how to make a stand.
When I see the shifty, deceitful, protestors that masquerade as politicians, never daring to claim leadership of anything with virtue, it reminds me of the weeds that choke out choice fruitfulness. These proponents of ‘the curse’ spring up overnight bearing seeds fit only for barren ground, they wither and pass on because God Almighty is the Lord of the Harvest. In His time He will raise up men with authority, those who can rightly handle the word of truth. A clear call of the clarion will ring and echo throughout our land. To the righteous a sound of revival, of awakening and announcement to make ready the way of the Lord. To the deceitful and scheming it will be the sound of doom, provoking fear and dread, the call of judgment and alarm from which there is no refuge.
For all of human history righteous people have been in a struggle with evil people. More precisely, evil people have been oppressing good people. Governments and the police were instituted to protect law-abiding citizens from evil people. When evil people take over government oppression of the righteous is renewed. The righteous walk in the way of love and they are most often unrecognized by the world, accept where God appoints a righteous leader. The masses of evildoers spew out their lies and self-serving epithets of hollowness and cruelty, and pursue depravity, they are abominable to their very core. Their demonic leadership proclaims eminent victory, but victory belongs to the Lord of Hosts. The Lord grants grace and protection and blessing abundant to His chosen ones, even as they suffer the taunts and filth of the enemy. Don’t misinterpret this picture, the eye fails to discern the forces of good and evil. The beautiful people, the rich and powerful, the well spoken and fashionably dressed; these are irrelevant characteristics, it is the light, truth and love that distinguish and adorn the righteous. Evil is accomplished in secret, at night, in the darkness so that it may not come to light and be exposed. Hitler hid his plan to exterminate the jews, even when the war was lost they tried to hide the evidence by demolishing the death camp apparatuses.
Nevertheless, all men will enter the judgment. All men will rise in the after-life, even those who denied its existence, who slandered both His messengers and the very word of God. At that time all the masks, lies and uncertainty will be removed, but the contrast I’ve described between these two groups will be as clear as ever. “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good thins out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matt. 12: 33-37).
