“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” (Isaiah 61:10).
I do delight greatly in the Lord. My soul does rejoice in my God. He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness. The Lord, shepherd of the sheep, knows his own. He knows our thoughts before we have them. He can’t be tricked or trapped in anything he says or by what is said to him. His thoughts are deep and beyond comprehension and He is filled with wisdom. He is able to divide between Spirit and Soul. The winds and waves obey Him. Death can not hold Him. He gives life to those He loves and has compassion upon His children. He found a poor Samaritan woman who was waiting for the Messiah to come and revealed His glory to her, giving her the living water of life. He found a tax collector and called him out honoring him with His presence, restoring the tax collectors dignity and place among the family of God. He found a naked, violent, insane, tormented man and restored him, setting him free. An accused adulterous woman was thrown before Him, by those demanding her death, but He forgave her in His great mercy.
Yeshua is the light of the world and the Word of God in flesh. In His name uncounted miracles have been received in the two thousand years since He bought salvation by His blood shed upon a cross for everyone who believes. Multitudes have given their lives up in exchange for the promise of heaven and glory in the presence of Almighty God and His angels. To begin an account of God’s mercies, miracles, and redemptive acts will occupy heavens hosts. “Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” (Deuteronomy 32: 1-4).
All around us the glory and mercy of God is evident, even in this fallen world, because we are His creation, which one day will be set free from the law of sin, death and decay. Through the Spirit we enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. We put on the garments of praise. Our lives, now redeemed, are lived for Him. Although God is hidden from our temporal senses, He is not distant; rather He is near and ever-present to the Spirit lead believer. The reality of God will not pass away, His Word endures throughout all time. His promises are certain and faithfully fulfilled. He is Sovereign over all His creation. When we set our hearts upon Him and robe ourselves in spiritual attire we join all believers around the world and the entire heavenly host, that are constantly giving praise, worship, and adoration to the one true God almighty.
