The famous novel “1984” published in 1949 by George Orwell centers on the consequences of government totalitarianism, mass surveillance, and repressive regimentation of all persons and behaviors within society. Much of the world has fallen victim to perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, historical negativism, and propaganda. The Thought Police persecute individuality and independent thinking. Big Brother is always watching.

It is stunning to realize that there are forces at work on the fascist Left that attempt to implement a society in America today much like presented in this novel. Our government has the ability for mass surveillance, which it many times deploys on private citizens without cause, including surveilling members of an incoming Republican administration and attempting to destroy it which had policies the Deep State did not like. Any opinion not held by the fascist Left is shouted down, and demand for apologies and even to kneel down and kiss their shoes in a sign of submission is demanded. There is repressive regimentation mandated by the Left in thoughts and opinions. Historical figures are being trashed and their statutes torn down even though their sins were no greater than the persons tearing down the statutes and their good deeds performed much greater in most cases. The fascist Left Thought Police daily persecute independent thinking or opinions outside their own. Facebook, Twitter and others censor conservative opinions that they do not like while having unique broad immunity from prosecution for the Leftist slander they choose to allow on their platforms.

And then… today as I look in the news 2.5 million jobs were added as the American people go back to work and start recovering from the pandemic. After some initial hesitation, people are beginning to populate restaurants and stores again, in the states that have been allowed to reopen, and noticing that the virus is not spreading more dramatically, if at all, because of the renewed activity. In fact, they are seeing that many restrictions were born of a combination of power hungry leaders that enjoyed their control over the people or just down right incompetent leaders. Either way, the people are beginning to restore the fortunes of their country despite the pandemic and hoodlums, thieves and rioters that, due to their loathsome low self-esteem and wicked hearts, attempt to use the tragic death of George Floyd to go to looting and mayhem that reveals the tenor of the sad, wicked lives they live day-in and day-out. Bullies all, they hope to quell the American people to their demands and obtain power over them but Americans mostly ignore their wicked behavior and recognize them for the fascists they are.

I am coming to see that the miscreants and anarchists and other wicked people both in and out of government actually have surprisingly little control over the vast majority of Americans. While concerned for their country and desiring justice for all races, most simply go about their day-to-day business and, to parrot the Apple slogan, just make America work. Big Brother is watching but is not liking what it sees.
