It often seems that justice is denied, in crime, murder, tyranny, oppression in all corners of this fallen world. In America we boast of a hope where there is “Liberty and Justice for all”. Evil was set loose among men and it feeds upon hate, greed, envy, pride, licentiousness, perversion and lust. However, light has come into the world exposing sin and revealing love and mercy. The light overcomes the darkness, love conquers hate, and mercy truimps over judgment. (James 2:3) One may ask, “Where is this victory of good over evil?” It is in the Word of life and Truth that came into the world in the form of a person, Yeshua Messiah. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was killed, rose to life on the third day and ascended back to His Father, our Creator God.
Yeshua’s message, spoken, demonstrated, and foretold is contained in the Bible, a supernatural message of faith, hope and love. Yeshua experienced injustice, oppression, and hate, on a level no man ever has, but he overcame by the power of an indestructible life. He established a new covenant relationship between man and God, guaranteed through the impartation of the indwelling Holy Spirit to all who believe. All men seek to live by various laws they establish, but even the highest law given through Moses was found to be ineffective. “If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?…. one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life….Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” (Hebrews 7:11, 16, 25) Yeshua, is that priest from the order of Melchizedek, who is able to save to the uttermost those who take refuge in Him.
At one time we all were estranged from God and His love that gives life. The evil in the world was ruling over us and bringing a slow miserable death. Yet, everyone who heard Yeshua’s message of love and accepted, embraced and rely upon this Truth have been transformed. “…remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ….by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,…” (Ephesians 2:12-13, 15, 18-19) It is easy to forget when we look around at the conduct of the world and even our own fallen human nature.
Don’t allow the corruption of this evil world to rob your peace, hope and faith in the reality and power of God’s love and mercy. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). Yeshua made it clear that His Kingdom was not of this world. Believers are in the world, but not of it, therefore, our Kingdom is not decaying like everything in this world, but growing, expanding, and it will prevail into life eternal.
