Nations Aligning With Prophecy

The end times are drawing ever closer. Scripture gives many indications of what will happen before the Lord Yeshua Messiah returns to save all Israel from complete annihilation. The book of Revelations is often symbolic and the word means, to be revealed, such that the full meaning becomes clear in time. For example, the regathering of Jews from around the world to their homeland in reestablished Israel was foretold, but it was unseen until 1948.

There are prophecies regarding a emergence of a new Roman empire. We may be seeing this unfolding in our days with the rise of a political Pope, who ignores the unjust war of Russia against Ukraine, but visits a mosque in Armenia to call for support of Iran against America. A ten member European alliance, mentioned in prophecy, may be forming as it adjusts to eliminate America in its own revised NATO. ( Daniel 7:24) The century old alliances between England, Canada, and France with America are becoming divided by growing economic and political divisions. 

The world of nations has become closer, more interrelated and interdependent than ever before by internet communications, world-wide commerce, air transportation and consolidated limited petroleum and rare-earth resources. Prophecy describes massive military movements and alliances of nations to focus on the Middle-east as never before envisioned. 

Scripture says that Israel will be a burden causing the nations to stumble. (Zech. 12:2-3) Israel’s mere existence is unnerving all its neighbors. Both peace and/or war could breakout any moment. Even as war is ongoing the parties are negotiating peace. God is Sovereign over every nation, He appoints and directs its leaders, just as He did Egypt’s Pharaoh. (Acts 17:6; Rom 9:17-20)

There is much more prophesied regarding Israel and the end times including the great battle of Armageddon where every nation will come against Israel. But before that there will be wars and short periods of peace. An utterly evil tyrant (antichrist) will rise to rule over a one-world government. A third Jewish temple will be built and the end will come with a rapture of Believers and ultimately the second coming of Yeshua, Messiah. These and other particulars are not in order and involve various interpretations which may be disputed. Prophecy is proven when it is fulfilled, but we can see indications and be alert. “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.” (Luke 21:28-31)
