Unity in Our Midst

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” (Psalms 127:3)

Much has been said about the   growing division in America. The most obvious divide is political between Democrat and Republican, but a majority of people are not “Politically” active other than in voting. What I mean is that social factors drive politics more than party politics, at least with respect to those who characterize themselves as Conservatives.  In the 2024 election a majority of the electorate voted against the Biden/Obama agenda to return to traditional values. Trump is an egotist firebrand that can get things done, but is often crass or offensive, in-part because he is not a typical politician, is not influenced by money, power or fame, but has a desire to Make America Great Again.

A vast majority of the Electorate do not favor an invasion of illegal immigrants, increased crime and government fraud, waste and abuse. The differences between red and blue states regarding abortion, LGBTQ issues, government size and control, social welfare, race relations, affordability, gun control, TDS, and numerous other issues designed and promoted by Media/Politicians are a distraction from the real substantive issue facing America and much of the world.

Children, our own progeny and future are the great issue belying all other matters. Any nation that ignores, suppresses, and/or harms its children is doomed to destruction. Marriage and families having babies, nurturing children, educating and raising a future generation has it own rewards, but is the foundation upon which all other virtues flows. These fundamental units of heaven’s design are essential for peace, wellbeing and prosperity. God blessed the first humans saying, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” (Genesis 1:28) Irrespective, of religious belief, we all understand love, the innocence of children, and for the fortunate, the blessing of grandchildren. Most political and social issues impact or relate to this preeminent concern, worthy task, virtuous endeavor. Yeshua recognized this saying, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Luke 18:16) 

America would unite under an agenda of building a society that values and nurtures children within families. This is the critical unit that stimulates life, well-being, love, blessing and prosperity. The love of and from children far exceeds that of any other source. When God spoke His highest blessing upon Abraham it was, “I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” (Genesis 22:17-18) Let us return to the blessing in our midst.
