Often one’s legacy is not that which they sought to create. Of course, we may have many different things which are remembered about us, but a legacy sticks out above them all and is long-lasting. A true legacy is seen only through a lens of many years. An example, is Richard Nixon, who famously resigned the Presidency, as a consequence of a televised media congressional investigation initiated by Democrats – “Watergate”. However, one might argue that Nixon’s lasting legacy was his successful efforts to open and engage China into the world’s economy. Independent Journalists, when they existed, and historians reported this as his pinnacle achievement, which clearly is on-going today. However, no one gives credit to Nixon for ending the Vietnam war, which the public adamantly demanded. Whether a legacy is ultimately good or bad is another issue.
President Donald Trump is a dynamo of initiatives, executive actions and policies underlying his MAGA agenda, which is contrasted with an imbecile, puppet, “Woke agenda” predecessor. He is clearly working to effect a MAGA legacy. Like Nixon he has powerful united, zealot enemies of Democrats and a Legacy Democrat Media that is constantly negative toward him. Surprisingly, Trump survived a fake “Watergate” type hoax and two fake impeachments to be reelected after a Democrat coup cancelled its primary, and colluded to appoint Joe Biden Candidate, who barely won a highly questionable and possibly fraudulent election. Trumps accomplishments thus far are significant and done in the midst of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is a unique hatred that defies common sense and rational behavior.
It is entirely possible that, like Nixon, Trump’s Legacy may be his efforts to bring the Islamic nations out of their closed ideological/political confines to engage in the world economy. China was closed by Mao’s Communistic ideology, but Nixon breached it through economic participation. In a similar way Trump is breaching Islamic ideological barriers to cooperate in economic participation with Islamic nations. Never before have so many Islamic nations agreed and cooperated to bring peace and mutual economic betterment to the middle-east.
Opening Islamic regimes to world economies, beyond merely petroleum products, could have a massive influence world-wide. Already the world has been rocked by unprecedented volumes of Islamic immigration and its refusal or inability to integrate with host nations. Who can predict what may happen if Islamic openness and participation becomes a pandoras box? Nevertheless, the lock is turned and the lid is rising. Will this be a long-lasting rise and engagement of nations once closed and backward? Like China, will these nations impact the world as never before seen? Even considering Iran, will it be Trumps Legacy?
