A Skeptic’s Path

We are in a time of unprecedented skepticism. It is the theory that some knowledge is impossible. For example, a skeptic may deny that infinity exists, by asserting an assumption over reality. The same skeptic may argue that Pi will be shown to repeat, even though mathematical calculation proves otherwise. The skeptic raises their assumption above facts, evidence, eye witness testimony and science. Skeptics of miraculous healing connected with prayer, often maintain disbelief, beyond all factual medical evidence before and after recovery. In one case of paralysis from an auto accident that lasted over twenty years, skeptics suggested the invalid faked the injury by staying in a wheelchair for twenty years. When the person was healed and was able to walk rather quickly thereafter, skeptics argued the ability to walk so well, so soon, was evidence of fraud. Alternatively, when miraculous healing happens, but muscle atrophy requires time to naturally gain strength, skeptics assume it is not a miracle, though there had been no nerve function that caused the atrophy. Skeptics can fashion endless and contradictory assumptions  to deny the truth. There are fake or fraudulent “miracles” and unexplainable naturally occurring healings, but these can often be proved so by evidence. Skeptics will assume miracles could simply be a natural recovery that only happens once in several million. The facts counter this assumption as the volume of miracles connected with prayer to God far exceeds such remote statistics.

Today, skeptics are attacking truth as never before with assumptions prevailing over scientific fact. They claim there are five or more genders, based on aberrant delusional behavior. One’s thought about their “identity” overrules biological and medical science that has been validated for centuries, actually forever. By using hormones, drugs, and bizarre surgical procedures to alter physical features, they proclaim they have transitioned from one gender to another, albeit without function. The latest delusion of skepticism seeks to outlaw counseling for gender dystopia or those seeking to reverse the devastation of transition.

Many call this diabolical “woke” political/social experiment, insanity, which it is, but it has a deeper root cause from skepticism. “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.” (Romans 1:24) The devoted skeptic resists the evidence of truth and God. Many atheist have come to faith by continuing to seek truth, but a denial of truth is harmful and reaps a severe penalty in this life. Never fear, “… the mouths of liars will be silenced.” (Ps. 63:11)
