I’ve been thinking of what could be done to quiet the liars who fill our airways today.  Darkness is the domain of evil, injustice, wickedness, lies, theft, murder, assault, immorality, avarice, malice, hate, tyranny, bondage, oppression, rage, lust and greed.  “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness…” (Rom. 1: 18-32).  “To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land, to deny people their rights before the Most High, to deprive them of justice— would not the Lord see such things?” (Lamentations: 3: 34-36).  God is not ambivalent about these incessant liars and their deeds.  “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. (John: 3: 18-20).

Nevertheless, there is much good news ahead, even as darkness seemingly increases. Moreover, these things God has well in hand and we should not let anxiety overtake us. “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.’  The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;  it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” (Lamentations: 3:22-26). Our perspective is often very limited, think of history where whole nations and empires were ruled by evil, like the Third Reich under Hitler, the USSR and atheist communism, the darkness and tyranny of the middle ages, and other evil empires down through history.

By God’s gracious hand America has been a beacon of light to the world.  The truth of Messiah Yeshua is greater and stronger than anything.  It is said that the largest church in the world is the underground church in communist China.  Through him [Yeshua] all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1: 3-5).  “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians: 1: 13-14).

I don’t watch TV news and related programs, nor do I buy the products they advertise, because they have at last come out and openly admitted and demonstrated their bias against Truth, Christianity, America, and tolerance for those who seek to preserve the foundations upon which this nation was founded.  They have a right to speak their untruths and opinions, because the founding fathers, under God, established a free republic in accord with Judeo-Christian principles.  So, trust in God. “And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith.  But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians: 3: 2-3).
