Trump Speaking Out

Many people, even those who support President Trump, are put off by his responses to those who falsely accused him. This is a departure from some past Presidents, particularly George W. Bush, who thought it was beneath the office and even prevented others from offering a defense.  What I still consider one of the most disgusting and shameful media shows ever was the one woman protest of Cindy Shehan, with whom fifty or so media hacks used to harass President Bush for many weeks.  This media contrived event should have been exposed for what it was on day one and put to a quick end as it shamed the Presidency and collaterally the entire nation.

In Matthew 11: 19-20, we read, “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.  But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.’  Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.”  Yeshua spoke out against the false accusations made against him.  He denounced the towns that had seen miracles yet did not repent.  He did this to set clear who the liars were and who was speaking the truth.  There is a time to speak out against false accusations and declare the truth about wicked people.  Yes, at the end as the mob hurled insults at Him, He did not open his mouth and was led to slaughter as a quiet sheep, but this was an entirely different situation, it was to fulfill prophecy and show that He willingly gave His life as a sacrifice for us who believe.

If this is so, why do some object so sternly when President Trump speaks out against false accusations?  I think there are at least a few reasons, 1) the media tells us that it is not dignified for the President to defend himself.  Who are they to say, consider the hypocrisy of this assertion, as they make the most outrageous fake scathing accusations, then accuse Trump of indignity – why believe these liars and deceivers, they have no credibility.  2) the media has discarded objectivity and independence, so Trump must use another media platform to get his message out.  Digital Internet platforms permit direct communication, which Trump has used effectively to speak without distortion by the Democrat controlled media.  3) Trump is not a professional politician, skilled in deception, riding the fence, saying things he never intends to carry out. Washington is full of political liars and they resent truth, honesty, directness, and clear meaning.  He is a New Yorker accustomed to being tough, firm, and hitting back, when he gets hit by others.  This is the nature of the Yankee business media environment.  4) Trump is a name caller.  I can’t defend this, but I can relate to it.  Punks and bullies called me names in school, though I tried to ignore it, it hurt.  Trump fights fire with fire.  If he was as glib of tongue as Ted Cruz he may not have to resort to name calling, but his opponents are masters of name calling.  If there is to be a fight, then the rules must apply to all.  We should see that this is war, a war of ideas for the very existence of America as founded and as we have known it.  It’s time that People had a champion who will fight against tyranny, renegade government, socialism, fascists and the enemies of liberty.  I don’t expect Trump to carry a knife to a gun fight.
