We needed to pour some concrete, quite a bit of it. We found a concrete contractor who began in a few days. I thought it good business to pay as we went and he was willing for me to pay the supplier directly for the cement. I assumed I could pay by check, but as it drew closer he was telling me that the supplier wanted advance payment via a debit/credit card. This was turning into a problem, so my contractor suggested I call the supplier. Before I called, I prayed that God would work it out and grant me favor. I talked with the credit manager who said it was up to the dispatcher, who had already denied my contractor’s request.
When I called the dispatcher, I assured him that I had the money in the bank already and he agreed to take my check. I hung up the phone and thanked God for His mercy for hearing my prayer. I called my contractor back and shared the results, which surprised him in that he had previously conveyed the same information. I said, “I must have caught him on a good morning, but then I remembered my prayer for help and favor. I didn’t know if my contractor was a Believer, but I said, “There was one thing I did, as this payment issue was bothering me, I prayed and asked God for help, which must have been the difference.” He replied, “Yes, I pray everyday about my crew and all our work.” I replied, “That’s great, these things are big issues to us, but are nothing to God, and He is so loving and merciful He answers our prayers.”
God cares about us and the small issues which we encounter, because He is love. When we ask with faith in His love, He responds. I started not to share my place of faith, but the Spirit checked me and encouraged me to give God credit, irrespective of the contractors faith or lack thereof. The truth is worth sharing always, even if it is rejected, it is right to give God thanks and acknowledge Him. Yeshua, (Jesus’ Hebrew name) said, “I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God.” (Luke 12:8-9) When you have problems, get God involved and acknowledge Him in public.
