More Faith and spirit rule

I’m hungry for more of God’s presence and leading. The disciples occasionally opined upon Yeshua’s (Jesus’ Hebrew Name) direction or action and they were rebuked and/or found to be wrong. “The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ He replied, ‘If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it will obey you. Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, Come along now and sit down to eat? Won’t he rather say, “Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink”? Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do? So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’ ” (Luke 17:5-10)

Yeshua answered first what He had frequently said, it only takes a tiny bit of faith to accomplish the miraculous. This is my starting point, I will believe the Word that says, He will show us what is yet to come. (John 16:13) I will believe the many scriptures that encourage us to pray and expect answers. (Mark 11:24) I will believe that I am Yeshua’s sheep and can listen to His voice. (John 10:16, 27) I will trust the Holy Spirit to lead in pray and go beyond my words. (Rom. 8:26) I will trust God to bring blessing and victory. (Matt. 7:9-11) I will believe the Spirit to enable me to do God’s will. (Matt. 7:12)

In the midst of this first exercise of faith, I will adopt the attitude that Yeshua described for a faithful servant. I will wait, pray, speak, write, give, and act with no personal demands of the Lord: that He would serve me, or thank me, or show me anything but what is necessary for my duty to be carried out. Then, when I have exercised faith and believed His Word that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him; I will acknowledge that I am an unworthy servant who has only done my duty. All glory and honor belong to God alone. He alone is worthy of praise. If I can have the scraps that fall from His table, with that I will be grateful. (Matt. 15:22-28) Do you believe?
