Showing Proof

There are reasons to show or demonstrate truth to the world, though it is true already and known to the household of Faith. If for nothing else it shows God’s justice and the righteousness of His wrath. Moreover, the prophetic nature of God may demand a record in time and space. His ways, thoughts and purposes are beyond searching out, but He is even kind to wicked people, so He gives them opportunity to see and know evidence of His love and truth. The Children of God see by faith and the Spirit while the heavens and all creation declare His glory. No excuse exists before God, He has made himself known and before that foretold the events that reflect His will.

God knows everything, the end from the beginning and the depths of Sheol as well as the highest heaven; darkness is as light to Him. Job was tested at Satan’s accusation and Job stood through two levels of testing to Satan’s shame and God’s glory. Silly people question God’s word, purposes, character, even existence. “Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, ‘Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.’ But Ahaz said, ‘I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.’ Then Isaiah said, ‘Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will be eating curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, for before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.’ ” (Isaiah 7:10-16) This miracle of virgin birth was witnessed by Ahaz and also was a prophecy of Israel’s Messiah, Yeshua, (Jesus’ Hebrew name). God shows proof of His Word and woe to those who still reject it. To God belongs all glory and praise. We know that judgment is coming and that every word will require an accounting. (Matt. 12:26) With all this God provided His one and only Son as a sacrifice for sin and salvation to all who believe, which is His amazing grace. If we should be tested, it is for God’s glory. He is loving in every situation and circumstance. We serve His purposes, such that even persecution and testing accomplish His eternal will, which may be entirely hidden until the end when we will know fully as we have been known.
