What Jesus Is Doing

He is doing what He did when He was ministering to His people, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, releasing captives, setting prisoners free, calling disciples to come and follow Him. He is finding and reaching out to the outcasts of society. He is traveling from town to town drawing all people to Himself. He is befriending those who are lonely. He is answering questions of those who are trying to trap Him or suggest the Word of God  is inconsistent or false. He does not frequent places where the rich and powerful do their business and vacation. He doesn’t associate with criminals and murders, except when they are caught and sincerely seek Him to turn away from the wickedness and evil they have done, He sends a message of life and love to them. He is with is disciples, teaching, correcting and rebuking them for their good. He welcomes the children who have priority access to His arms of love and touch of blessing. He knows every thought before we speak it and He will occasionally answer before we ask.

He cannot be trapped or imprisoned and walks right through crowds who have set themselves upon his destruction. He is interceding for every child of God from the throne of God in Heaven. He has silenced the accuser who would accuse the children of God before the Father. He has completed everything He was sent to do, but His ministry goes forward to each generation by the power and work of His Holy Spirit which inhabits His people on earth. Greater ministry has been accomplished by the Holy Spirit than what He did when He was on earth, because He finished making atonement as the sacrificial lamb and returned to the Father in Heaven.

What remains to be done by Him will begin when He returns to earth as the Lion of Judah. He will fulfill all the prophecy’s concerning Israel, all Israel will be saved; they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. (Zech. 12:10) Yeshua will save Israel from certain annihilation and defeat the servants of the enemy and reign for a thousand years. Then Satan will be released to deceive once again before Yeshua takes him captive and throws him and his followers into the lake of burning sulfur for ever. (Rev. 20:7-10) Yeshua will complete the restoration of a new heaven and earth, where the children of God will dwell in Heaven. “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” (Revelation 22:4-5)
