The Amazing God

In our worship God reveals Himself, the splendor of His amazingness, a characteristic which nothing can compare. Every believer can testify to the Amazing grace they have experienced first hand. It is the contrast of what we know we deserve and the forgiveness and righteousness He gives instead.  Our rationale is astounded, words fail, emotions are triggered from deep within our innermost being. However, this Amazing Grace is simply one of His many Amazing facets, like an infinity sided diamond wherever the light strikes, it bursts and divides into glorious Amazing truth. However, God is the source of light. In Heaven, the gathering of heavenly beings, joined at last by the spirits of righteous men made perfect, God will shine giving heaven its light. (Heb. 12:22-23) In an understatement too vast to explain scripture discloses, “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” (Revelation 22:5) One glimpse of the light in His face would undo any human flesh, but then we will stand before Amazement personified. Every contrast of God will become evident. How He endured the slander and scoffing of His enemies will be Amazing. How He restrained His wrath toward His enemies for the sake and love of His chosen Children will be Amazing. The vision of His will working together for our Good, could not be comprehended, but then it will produce Amazement detailing love’s eternal purposes.

Then we will know as we have been fully known. We will see fully for every hidden thing will be disclosed. This will be so amazing as to answer every question and solve every paradox, the limits of our faith will be shown as our weakness in the light of His loving willingness and possibility. Every word of God is right exactly and only as it was meant and written; questions, assumptions, wonders, misunderstanding will be removed and substituted with Amazement at perfection revealed in the light of God’s presence.

When we see that God took what the enemy meant for evil and turned it for our good, we will wake up to the completeness of God’s victory. In faith and worship we get glimpses beyond the limits of our rationale and physical time and space. God’s character and nature of perfect, infinite love reveals nothing is impossible to Him, for He alone is the Amazing God.
