Acts 3:1 Is an account of Peter and John miraculously healing a lame man by the name of Jesus. All the people were amazed, but Peter explains how and why it happened by recounting what had very recently happened to Jesus with scripture references which prophesied and explained what God was accomplishing through His Messiah, Jesus.
The story continues with the priests and captain of the guards becoming agitated as Peter attributed these events to Jesus and proclaiming His resurrection from the dead. (Acts 4:1ff) Peter and John were imprisoned, but many people believed in Jesus by what they saw and heard. The Leaders questioned Peter and John, ordered them to speak no longer of Jesus and threatened them. “But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:19-20)
The lunacy of this action by the Jewish leaders is a marvel. They should have responded to what they admitted was a “notable sign,” but instead they were focused on stopping it. Yes, they had just cooperated in having Jesus crucified, but had they become completely blind to reality in their midst? It may still be happening today. Our leaders cannot define what is a woman. They take actions to harm those they were sworn to protect, by allowing criminals to go free, refusing to confront an invasion on our southern border, destroying our economy by unrestrained spending, and exposing our children to grooming by insane perverts and explicit drag queen events. They are enraged because people in several states want to stop killing unborn babies. If they could put million of us in prison they would. Is the “sign” a breaking down of our society through rising incidences of mass shootings? Can they not see what havoc is created by reducing and restricting police enforcement of just laws? Nevertheless, they are against a majority of people who see what these wicked policies are causing and disapprove.
Make no mistake, the media and Democrat leaders are pursuing what they said in their campaign – total transformation of America. American foundations are being demolished, the rule of law, protecting the innocent and weak of society, individual liberty with responsibility, secure borders, sound economic principles, free speech, freedom of religion, limited government and one united nation under God. Will the American people stand against injustice and those who seek to resist God in unbelief? When Believers are imprisoned for speaking and acting in the name of Yeshua, (Jesus’ Hebrew name), will we hold fast in obedience to God, rather than men?
