“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself…Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” (John 12:32, 35-36)
There is one person who changed history more than any other. From that time to the present his name evokes strong emotion on both spectrums of agreement/disagreement, belief/unbelief, reality/fiction, truth/lies, goodness/evil, and love/hate. Of course, I’m referring to the only one who claimed to be the Son of God, Yeshua, Jesus’ Hebrew name.
His life was filled with supernatural events from birth to death and thereafter in resurrection from the dead. His words and deeds are faithfully and supernaturally preserved, written in the most popular and read book of all time. His story itself is unique in narrative and amazingly foretold with stunning accuracy by many prophets over several ages beginning with birth, life, death and resurrection, including the yet to be fulfilled, second coming. The Bible’s accuracy was confirmed by the dead sea scrolls, ancient texts of the Bible preserved and demonstrating precision of the text through the ages.
There have been many who denied his claims, miracles, words, truth, deeds and resurrection, even as some happened, in clear sight, after exhaustive examination, multiple eyewitnesses and documented evidence. The evidence is incontrovertible. For example, people assert he never actually died on the cross. Witnesses record that the Romans pierced his side and out came water and blood. (John 19:34) Modern medical science proves this separation is evidence of death. The Shroud of Turin is a compelling unexplainable record of the miracle of resurrection that traces back to the first century.
However, the greatest miracle, evidence, and witness beyond just compelling, confirming or validating is the Holy Spirit’s presence in the congregation of Believers on earth worldwide. The Holy Spirit is the power of God to transform people through spiritual rebirth. In fact, Yeshua said, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” (John 3:3) Even Believer’s are amazed at the underground churches in Atheistic, Muslim, Communists totalitarian states. Many of the hidden groups of Believers in Yeshua add up to multitudes. How can all these come to faith without confirmation of the supernatural witness of the truth of Yeshua through Spiritual transformation. If we examine our own faith, it rests on the Word of God and His Holy Spirit impartation. (Eph. 1;13-14; 2 Cor. 1:22) His invitation remains today. (Matt. 11:28; Rev. 3:20; Heb. 10:22; John 6:37, 14:1-3; 2 Cor. 6:2)
