Many drastic events can be projected with the acceleration of change. For example, a one world government, world War III and IV, break-through in energy storage and production, currency redesignation, catastrophic earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, weather events, etc.
However, the greatest event in the world’s future will be the return of Messiah Yeshua to earth. His return will be disguised, if possible by the revealing of the man of lawlessness, the Antichrist.
What happens in the secular physical world is inconsequential, because what is happening now has happened before, not in exactly the same manner or degree, but as it has always happened. What happens in the Spiritual realm is eternal and has the fingerprints of God upon it. Men of God like Noah, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Moses, David, John the Baptist, and others, culminating in the God/Man Yeshua Messiah have been the people of consequence through history. When the full number of Gentiles have come into the Kingdom, Yeshua’s return will bring a recognition by Israel that He is Messiah, the one and only Son of God. This will unite and restore Israel and the Church as the Bride of Messiah. All things will be put right and a measure of authority as has never been seen on earth will begin. Yeshua came the first time as a lamb and Savior to seek and save the lost, gentle and meek. He will come back as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, a King, who will restore all things. The enemy will be captured and his armies of minions defeated at the battle of Armageddon.
“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.” (Rev. 19: 11-16).
The admonition is to recognize the big picture, the major players, and our approximate position in the story of human history on earth. There will be much deception in our future. Truth and lies, fact and fiction and good and evil will be so convoluted and distorted that many will succumb to confusion and believe a lie. However, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5). “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.” (Heb. 4: 12-14). The Word of God is true and a reliable guide in the dark and uncertain times ahead. We have a defender and all the fears, threats, curses, and snares of the enemy will have no hold on those who believe and put their trust in God. “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, ‘All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.’ And this is the word that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1: 23-25).
