Worship He Deserves

UnknownThe heavenly beings surround God’s throne and worship Him with the highest of praises, bowing in surrender before Him. (Rev. 4: 4-11).  Yeshua, the Son of Man and only human to know God fully said that He seeks worshipers who worship Him in Spirit and truth. (John 4: 23).  It is fitting that men worship God along with the rest of Heaven and creation.  It was in deliverance of Israel from captivity that God called His people to worship. (Ex. 4: 23; 7: 16; 8: 1, 20).  To this day God seeks worshipers.  In worship the Spirit within each believer is released to proclaim truth and their heart draws near to God. (Matt. 15: 8).  “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.  He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.  He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.  All that belongs to the Father is mine.  That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” (John 16: 13-15). This is the worship that will flow out of the believer’s Spirit and not only in words but in deeds and through a sacrificial life.  God releases worship in His people by His Spirit. This worship is accompanied by humility, submission, surrender, and contrition, so God’s rule is established afresh in the believer’s heart.

Furthermore, God fills the believer with His power, faith, hope, love, every good and needful resource.  It is within this temple of God’s Spirit that He desires to reside – Yeshua in you, the hope of Glory. (1 John 4: 16; Col. 1: 27).  God’s power demolishes strongholds and all things are possible with God.  “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (2 Cor. 4: 7).  The exceeding greatness of His power in every believer is the same power that raised Yeshua from the dead. (Eph. 1: 18-20).  God’s resurrection power is in the believer and spirit led worship opens our eyes to see Him in Glory.  We respond to our Lord’s call,  “Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow me.” (Mark 8: 34).  Our hearts cry is for more of Him, to be in His presence and worship Him in the splendor of His Holiness.  I need you, Lord.  I want you, Lord.  Make me an instrument of your love. (2 Tim. 2: 21).

  1. It seems to me that the masses promote themselves in order to build their brand, name, even their “ministry”. Yeshua did the opposite, often referring to himself as “the son of man”.
