How I love Your Word
There is life in the word of the Lord: His dealings with Israel, warnings, prophecy, judgment against corruption and mercy to those who humble themselves before Him. When we read His word and meditate upon it, we receive truth and revelation of God’s sovereignty and character. All God did for Israel was written for our instruction and learning. (Rom. 15:4) God wants people to seek Him and in doing so He rewards them. (Heb. 11:6) God gives gifts to people especially to believers. Revival is a gift from God when people cry out for Him and seek His ways turning away from unrighteousness. Revival is not a result of the efforts of man, but people are involved in receiving what God gives. He does not force us to take the good gifts He offers. This is a huge area of misunderstanding among people, who think God is impersonal like a vending machine delivering in accordance with what we input. At times circumstances may appear like a Boolean statement, but it’s a false presumption to put God in a box. We respond to Him in faith. His promises are certain, but His gifts must be received by faith. The faithless person will receive nothing from God and assume others will not either. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight oh Lord my rock and redeemer. (Ps. 19:14)
God’s Presence Our Assurance
God says obedience is better than sacrifice. Yeshua was an obedient sacrifice. All believers desire God and His presence, we know He is pleased with surrender and submission. I asked myself, who are those whom God accepts? God is not a respecter of persons, moreover, it is folly to make comparisons of others. (2 Cor. 20:12; Gal. 6:4 ) God deals with us individually, His love for us is unconditional, there is no way to earn, merit, or deserve God’s favor. Nevertheless, He calls each one to open the door of their heart so He may come in and fellowship with us. We are to seek Him with all our mind, soul, heart and strength. God dwells in each Believer by His Spirit and promises to never leave or forsake us. He is a person we can open our hearts to through the Spirit. We may feel alone and isolated, in spite of His promises; we may forget His word and fall into fear or doubt, but He remains faithful and true.
God’s Abundant Plan
God made the earth and He saw that it was good. His design was sufficient that He spoke a blessing, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.” (Genesis 9:1,7) God made mankind, male and female. It was His intent for people to fill the earth. “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
(Gen. 2:18) Eve was created for Adam. God was so good, the best thing He made was a suitable companion for Him, in woman and made it so the earth is filled with enough women for man and man for woman. So they would join together in marriage and become one. (Genesis 2:24)
