The Holy Spirit lives in every believer. When Yeshua ascended to the Father, He left the Holy Spirit to dwell in His People. This was fulfillment of the great prophecy that He would give His people a heart of flesh for a heart of stone; that His baptism would be with the Holy Spirit, rather than just water. The Holy Spirit can be grieved, but He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is not put off by our weakness, on the contrary He is made perfect in it. He sees us as righteous because Yeshua is our righteousness. The blood of Yeshua cleanses us from all sin. All our sins have been cast into the sea of forgetfulness, removed…as far as the east is from the west. The Holy Spirit can be stirred-up by the brotherhood of believers. He has appeared like a tongue of fire upon the intercessors in the church. He imparts truth and is our comforter. He leads and guides us in the paths we are to take. He teaches us and reminds us of God’s word. The Holy Spirit imparts hope and power to us. The Holy Spirit pours God’s love into our hearts.
What a great God is our God, who dwells within His people. These wonders are food for much contemplation, meditation, praise, and worship. “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!” “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” “For from him and through him and for him are all things.” “To him be the glory forever! Amen.” These spiritual truths from scripture encourage us and shed light on God’s sanctifying work within the believers innermost being.
As small, unworthy, and prone to evil as we are God has deposited His Holy Spirit within us as a guarantee of our salvation, by faith and grace.
Glory to God in the highest for we are His possession.
