This is a dark subject, but I only bring it up in hope that light will pierce the darkness. To be separated from God is Hell, whether you believe it or not. If you doubt or have problems with Believers or those who pretend to, but are not, that is a different thing, as many have struggled, but eventually come through such confusion to faith. C.S. Lewis was once an atheist as was Jennifer Fulwiler, Lee Strobel, Kirk Cameron, William J. Murray, Salvador Dali, Simon Greenleaf, John Eccles and many more. We all come to faith from unbelief, so as long as one is breathing there remains hope, today is the Day of Salvation. (2 Cor. 6:2)
The enemy of mankind seeks to separate people from God and suggesting God does not exist is a common snare. Something as small as a grudge can separate people from God when they think, “Why did God allow this or that to happen.” Barack Obama stated, “There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.” [Interviewer: You don’t believe that?] “I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.” Thoughts such as these create barriers to faith and raise human reason, values, and logic above God’s word. Nevertheless, there is a farther separation than faulty logic or reason.
The denial of reality is a greater abandonment of God in that He intentionally left evidence of Himself in creation. “…since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” (Romans 1:19-20) Evolutionists revel in their “incontrovertible science” based on assumption, theory, ignoring facts (missing links), observation (Big Bang) and conflicting reason (intelligent design). However, there is a denial of reality that far exceeds Cosmology – denial of biological personhood. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalms 139:13-16; also see Isa. 44:24) Every human is individually created and known by God, gifted with potential and destiny. To reject the gift of God, to deny the reality of gender and pursue a medically altered delusion contrary to biological and Biblical truth is a giant leap away from God and His purposes. It may be a step toward total delusion, mental, physical and spiritual separation and rejection of God’s design and purpose. (Luke 7:30) Even so, let us all return to God, seek Him and the only Savior Redeemer Yeshua, Messiah, (Jesus’ Hebrew name), in Him is life eternal.
